New AURA and LEO companions included with every Design licence

SOLIDWORKS AI & Concile AI

SOLIDWORKS now ships with two AI companions — AURA for knowledge and LEO for engineering work — on top of the assistive features already built into the interface. Concile is the partner that goes further: we configure the companions for your process and build customer-specific agents on top of them, so the AI knows your standards, your products and your rules.

AIAURA + LEOAssistive, predictive and generative — inside CAD
Overview

Three layers of AI, one design environment

The first layer runs locally and costs nothing: command prediction, selection accelerators, sketch and mate repair, fastener recognition and automatic drawing generation, all inside SOLIDWORKS Design. The second layer is the Virtual Companions on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform: AURA answers questions about the open model and your company knowledge; LEO does engineering work — generates assembly structures, diagnoses what is wrong with a model, turns a prompt into a drawing, rebuilds a dumb STEP file into parametric features. The third layer is Concile’s: agents we build for a specific customer that encode their design rules, release checks and manufacturing constraints. In every layer the engineer reviews and decides; the AI proposes.

Why it pays back

What changes when the busywork is proposed, not typed

h

Hours per engineer per week

Drawing views, hardware insertion, assembly skeletons and model diagnostics are the repetitive half of a design job. Proposing them automatically gives the hours back to design.

?

Answers without the search

AURA reads the open model and your company’s own knowledge base, so ‘what standard applies here’ or ‘why was this changed’ is a question in a side panel, not a hunt.

⚙

Your rules, enforced

Concile agents turn tribal knowledge — this bracket always gets that fillet, this customer wants that drawing format — into checks that run before release.

What’s included

Built-in, companions and Concile agents

Everything in the first two columns is included with a current SOLIDWORKS Design licence on subscription with Cloud Services active; companion usage is metered in Blue Tokens. Concile AI is scoped and priced per customer.

How Concile delivers it

Concile AI: the solution-partner side of what we do

We are an AI company that happens to know SOLIDWORKS to the API level, and a SOLIDWORKS partner that happens to build AI. That combination is what lets us turn an engineering intent — make this manufacturable, get this ready for release, why is this failing — into completed work inside the tools your engineers already use.

  • Workflow discovery: where the hours go, which decisions are rules and which need judgement
  • Companion enablement: tokens, Cloud Services, 3DSwym knowledge base seeded with your standards
  • Agent design and build on the SOLIDWORKS API and 3DEXPERIENCE platform
  • Pilot on one product family with measured before/after hours
  • Deployment as add-in or platform app; training; monitoring and tuning
  • Governance: every proposal is reviewed by an engineer; data stays in your tenant

FAQ

Questions we get asked most

Is SOLIDWORKS AI an extra licence?

No. The companions are included with commercial SOLIDWORKS Design licences (named-user or device with Cloud Services), 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS, Collaborative Designer and xDesign. Usage is metered in Blue Tokens; each eligible user starts with an allocation and token packs can be added.

What are Blue Tokens?

The platform’s unit of AI consumption, pooled at company level. A quick insight costs a token or two; generating a drawing or rebuilding a STEP file costs more. Administrators see consumption in the control centre and can buy yearly packs.

Does the AI see our designs? Are they used for training?

Companions run on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform within your tenant. Dassault Systèmes states that customer data is not used to train models without written approval; defaults are trained on proprietary and synthetic data. Details are in the 3DS Trust Center.

Can it design a part from a sentence?

Not a finished part. LEO can generate an assembly structure, produce a drawing from a prompt and convert dumb geometry into features. Full generative design from a specification is on the roadmap. Concile configurators are the practical route today for rules-driven products.

What do we need to turn it on?

The latest service pack, Cloud Services activated, the platform connector running and an internet session. We enable and test it as part of any Design deployment.

What does Concile build that DS doesn’t?

Agents that know your company: standards checkers, release gates, quote-to-model configurators, legacy recovery pipelines. DS ships general capability; we encode your specific rules on top of it.

Where do we start?

With a workflow discovery call. We look at one product family, find the repetitive hours, and propose the smallest pilot that proves the saving.
